Desert Point Indulgence with Ozzy Wrong and his Tomahawk

On his recent adventure Ozzy Wright surfed his  6’8″ Tomahawk at one of the worlds longest and gnarliest left handers in the world- Desert Point, Indonesia . The photos and stories of which are slowly being released. We are excited to share a look though photographer Diogo d’Orey lens here.

Waterman and photographer Diogo d’Orey had the following to say on his recent Magicseaweed photo story “Ozzie was riding a 6’8 Joel Fitzgerald twin fin and was going faster then anyone out there he would fit himself on the mid-size ones and just make wave after wave the longest/fastest barrels of the day.”

Ozzie sure is one of a kind, talented, super stoked and ever humble, it is a true delight and honor to be collaborating with him, even more so to see Ozzie still frothing like a grom and doing what he loves. Surfing, Art and Rock & Roll!!

Artwork on board is a colab between Ozzy (inner cosmic rainbow waves) and  Otis Carey (indigenous Australian designs on outer edge). You can see more photos from this trip on Magicseaweed. To see full specs on Tomahawk click here.

Liquid Salt

Joel Fitz was recently interviewed by passionate surfer, writer, and visionary Glenn Sakamoto, for his epic online magazine Liquid Salt. For those of you new to this stoked filled community:  ‘Liquid Salt is an online-only magazine that celebrates the culture of surfing. We highlight and give voice to surfers, photographers, shapers, writers, painters, filmmakers, and eco-warriors  — the creative individuals who keep surfing vibrant and alive.” (Glenn Sakamoto).

Since its initial beginnings, 4 years ago,  Liquid Salt (LS) has continued to grow into a hub for our collective and creative surfing culture attracting over 28,000 supporters.  With its exponential growth,  LS wanted to continue bringing great content to a community of ocean goers with a more functional approach, this required a new website. For the past few months, LS has been upgrading the site and adding new video features, made possible by their Kickstarter campaign.

This month is the first edition of Liquid Salt’s new site and format, featuring a great new look and epic videos.  We are grateful and honored to be featured in the premier edition of LS V2  alongside some amazing humans whom we respect very much. The edition includes Australian legend Wayne Lynch, ‘Slow is Fast’ Dan Malloy, and surfer/shaper Josh Hall just to name a few. To find out what’s inspiring Joel Fitz right now, who he thinks is shaping epic boards, see some of Chrystal Dawn’s photos, and get more great insights check out LS.  Again we are grateful for this opportunity and forward to hearing your responses and to the new sensations of Liquid Salt and the team there.

Cheers!
